Serving Northern & Central Wisconsin | Call: (715) 450-1715
Owner-operated forestry services built on quality, flexibility, and respect for your land.
I’m the owner/operator and I do the work myself. That means consistent quality, direct communication, and attention to detail from quote to finish. I have several years of hands-on forestry experience, I love the outdoors, and I prioritize a safe, family-friendly job site.
Northern and Central Wisconsin. I’m based near Eau Claire and typically travel up to 1.5 hours from there. For the right project I’ll travel further—contact me and we’ll discuss logistics.
You work directly with the person doing the job — no subcontractors, no surprises. I’m flexible if the scope changes mid-job and committed to leaving your property safe, clean, and usable for your family.
Clear descriptions so you know exactly what you’re ordering.
Forestry mulching (brush/trees), stump removal (grinding/extraction), trail clearing, cutting dense weeds/brush, and invasive species removal. I tailor each job to your goals: fire mitigation, trail access, pasture expansion, view opening, or general cleanup.
Mulching turns trees and brush into chips in place — less soil disturbance, faster cleanup, cheaper hauling. Traditional clearing (cut & haul) removes material from the site. I’ll recommend the best method based on your goals, budget, and site conditions.
Yes. I typically grind stumps below grade so you can replant, seed, or use the area immediately. Full root extraction is possible on select stumps but is more invasive and costs more. Stump grinding is usually the most practical option.
How pricing works, what’s included, and how to get a reliable quote.
Pricing is based on site factors — acreage, vegetation density, tree sizes, access/topography, disposal needs, and travel. Rather than guess, I provide a clear written quote after reviewing photos or doing a site visit. Typical jobs range from smaller cleanups to multi-thousand dollar projects depending on scale.
- What I include in a quote: scope of work, start date window, estimated duration, equipment planned, disposal plan (if any), and payment terms.
Small jobs are often scheduled within 1–3 weeks; larger projects depend on season and workload. Spring and fall are busiest. To lock a date I may require a deposit for larger jobs. I keep communication direct and flexible to accommodate scope changes.
I accept cash, check and major cards (or link to online payment). For larger jobs a deposit is typical to reserve a date; exact terms are in the written quote. Final payment is due at project completion after a walk-through.
Simple steps for you, smart practices for the land.
Sometimes. Cutting near wetlands, public roads, or regulated species may require permits—local rules vary by township and county. I can advise based on what you want done, but final responsibility for permits is with the property owner. Prep steps I recommend:
- Remove vehicles, toys, and movable structures from the work area.
- Mark any buried utilities or private lines to be aware of.
- Note any rare plants, beehives, or items you want preserved and tell me in advance.
I identify and remove invasive brush/species as part of clearing when requested, and I use mulching where possible to minimize soil disturbance and erosion. If you have specific restoration goals (re-seeding, erosion control), I’ll coordinate recommendations or subcontract specialists as needed.
Clear next steps, safety first, and a promise to stand behind the work.
Safety is a top priority — I follow industry-standard practices on every job to protect people, pets, and property. I carry appropriate protective equipment, maintain my machines, and will provide proof of insurance if you request it. If the finished job isn’t what you expected, I’ll work with you until it is — we’ll do a final walk-through and agree on any follow-up work needed to meet your satisfaction.
- How to book (3 easy steps):
1) Contact: Send photos, property address, and a brief note of goals via the quote form, phone, or text.
2) Quote: I’ll respond with a phone check, then a written quote or onsite estimate.
3) Schedule & Complete: Lock the date with deposit (if required), I do the work, we do a final walk-through, final payment.
